Truth be told, I love getting buzzed and going on Youtube to get lost in a sea of hilarity. I can do that shit for hours. Whether it be people falling down, the Slithery Snake, the "I Like Turtles" zombie kid, Schmoyoho's "Strut That Ass", you name it... I love it all. But nothing gets me more amused than coming across some sort of mash-up inspired by a film I adore. A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of Jon and Al Kaplan's Legolambs a few years back. All she said was "Have you seen Predator: The Musical?" I had not, but was certainly intrigued, but forgot about it until a few weeks later. When I did finally remember to look it up, I was stuck on the Legolambs Youtube page for hours laughing my ass off. I still randomly go on that page and watch 'em all over again, they just never get old to me. There's some absolute genius going on there. After watching their recent Expendables Musical, I decided to do a post here containing my favorite Legolambs Movie Musicals. Get ready...
I'll start with Predator: The Musical, since it's the one that popped my cherry. Once it becomes an attack of multiple voices, prepare for an onslaught of awesome.
Rambo: The Musical (You Not Expendable). Absolutely beautiful dueting here.
Conan the Barbarian: The Musical
Robocop: The Musical (Murphy, it's You)
Commando: The Musical (Jenny and Me). You really can't beat the 'Arnold' ones.
Sean Connery: The Musical (S With an H)
Rocky IV: The Musical. This one owns.
The Thing: The Musical
Alien: The Musical. Another epic duet.
Fright Night: The Musical (Amy, Awake!). This is damn near my ultimate fave. When Ragsdale shouts "Mr. Vincent, SHIT!".... lightning in a bottle.
But here we go. This next one is undefeated, if you ask me.
Terminator: The Opera (this one you have to watch on Youtube)
