What Brobocop Watched: October 14th & 15th

Sunday, October 14th

The Walking Dead (2012)

Season 3/ Episode 1- Seed

I was kinda bummed that the season 3 premiere wasn't extended like the previous season premieres, but either way, this was one helluva fun episode. Glad to see the entire group in badass mode and super glad to see Rick worn down and finished with all the bullshit. I know a lot of people hated last season, but I've sat through it three times now and I actually prefer it to season 1. Can't wait to see how this season unfolds.

Dexter (2012)

Season 7/ Episode 3- Buck the System

Absolutely loving this season. Things are happening right now that I have been waiting to happen for what seems like forever. Got a feeling that the next episode is going to be pretty bonkers.

Monday, October 15th

The Evil Dead (1981)

Watched this last night for the first time in at least ten years, no exaggeration. Admittedly, Evil Dead 2 is usually my go to film out of the series. It's not that I think it's better, necessarily, but it's a good party movie when you have friends over. I gotta admit that re-visiting this one last night has given me larger appreciation for it. It felt creepier than the previous viewings. Raimi's direction is just as awesome here as it is in ED 2, and so is the damn brilliant use of sound FX.

Waxwork II: Lost in Time (1992)

Not quite as enjoyable as the first Waxwork, but there's definitely some fun to be had. Deborah Foreman is greatly missed, and there's not much to like about her replacement, imo, but all the homages this flick has is just freakin' awesome. Especially the last 30 minutes or so. Just an onslaught of genre mixing madness. Worth a look, for sure.
