Shit I liked in 2011 (Games)

Dammit, I dropped the ball on game playing this year. A lot of goodies went by that I never had the chance to get a hold of. I missed out on Infamous 2, Dark Souls, Assassins Creed: Revelations, Killzone 3, Resistance 3, Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3, Portal 2 and Arkham City. Fuck, that's embarrassing. In time, dammit, in time.

Also, I was really disappointed in Dragon Age 2. Lost the desire to even finish it. And Dead Island I really liked, but I ran into a ton of glitches and had to put it down for a while.

Games:

Dead Rising 2: Off the Record

I honestly have not played this game for more than 5 hours, but it's fun as hell, and I am a fan of all the previous Dead Rising games. Instead of giving a rundown of how awesome I think it is, here is a review my lady did up for the game. She freakin loved it.

Dead Space 2

No brainer here. Dead Space 2 grossed me out, freaked me out, scared me shitless a few times and made me feel like a bad ass. Also has one of the most incredible game openings ever. Sick weapons, boss looking suits to wear, fucking ridiculous ghouls... this shit rules. Some of the situations your character gets forced into are crazy, too. Never did any online stuff with it. I generally suck at that.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

Yeah. So, even if I didn't play all the games I wanted to from 2011, this shit totally makes up for it. Skyrim is the best damn game I have played in so long. Got it on November 11th and did nothing but the miscellaneous objects. Maybe a week ago I started doing side quests. Still haven't went into the main quest. I spend half of my time making potions and selling shit. I'm married in the game and my wife sells items at our pimp ass house. Gah, this sounds lame as fuck, but I assure you it's not! I love Skyrim. Shit rules.

L.A. Noire

Actually not all that far into L.A. Noire, but I really enjoy it. I've heard a lot of people had problems with the interrogations. I'm not even far enough in to make a real assessment, but that shit is kinda tricky. It doesn't want to make me give up or anything; makes me want to get better. But it's on hold right now. Oh, and you can't ask for a better looking game. Seriously.

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword

I'm cheating my ass off here because I haven't played a single second of this game, other than trying to help my daughter out. But, I have watched my lady play damn near all of it. Off of that, I am confident in saying it's awesome. I'm not even really cheating because the post is titled "Shit I liked in 2011" and I liked watching my girlfriend play Skyward Sword. There will be a review up of this game pretty soon.

Sour Apples to Apples

Shit yeah I play "bored" games! This is an awesome take on the original Apples to Apples. As the judge you have to pick the best card, as well as the worst card. The owner of the worst card then has to use the "spinning apple" which reveals the player's punishment for sucking. Sadly, I have been punished a lot. I remembered being good at the other game. Whatever, it's still fun.

And yeah, that's about the size of it. Looks pretty barren, I guess. I can't really stress enough how fulfilling Skyrim is, though. Once it came out, it really didn't matter that I slacked on games this year.
